What iO thinks
Cycling in Northern India is more about the culture. If you’re someone who loves forts, palaces, and people, then this would be the perfect journey for you. In a chauffeur driven vehicle, you would be quite stuck with seeing just the highlights of the trip. But on a cycle, there are many quaint secrets that are waiting to be discovered. The land ranges from flat to rolling hills as you cycle over and around the world’s oldest geographical feature.
Day 1: Take a train and then a chauffeur driven vehicle to the old Haveli town of Nawalgarh. For the rest of the day, you can test your cycle.
Day 2: Cycle to Mandawa visiting the old village of Dundlod enroute. The total distance cycled would be 30km. Once in Mandawa, cycle around the mansions of the town.
Day 3: Cycle on via Fatehpur to Churu. More mansions and villages are on the way. Take a break to sip some delectable chai. The total distance cycled would be 60km.
Day 4: In the morning, cycle around Churu exploring some of its secrets. You can also try your hand at the local crafts or get your hands dirty in pottery.
Day 5: Travel back to Delhi after your cycling sojourn into Rajasthan.
